May 9 2013

STRATFORD – Featuring two 5 oz Island Beef patties, jalapeno infused bacon and two-year-old smoked Applewood Cheddar, Phinley’s Diner Smoking Fox Burger has been crowned champion of the 2013 P.E.I. Burger Love campaign.

31 restaurants across the Province competed during the month of April in the third annual celebration of local produce that sees each restaurant offer 100 percent Island beef, topped with a wide array of garments.

Phinley’s manager Craig Lawlor calculates his restaurant sold 5222 burgers during the month, up to 345 a day.

“Hope you all enjoyed it and we can't wait for you to try the rest of our menu.”

As longstanding business partners, APM Properties extends their congratulations to Lawlor and the rest of Phinley’s staff on the prestigious award. Phinley’s is located just off the Trans-Canada Highway at APM’s Stratford Commercial Centre; next to Home Hardware, House of Excellence and adjacent to Sobeys and the Prince Edward Island Liquor Commission Store.
