APM finishing one of the 'biggest renovations in Hamilton's history'

Feb 22 2012

HAMILTON – APM is finishing up on a construction renovation contract in the heart of Hamilton, Ontario and looking forward to seeing tenants move into the Lister Block building as the multi-million dollar renovations on this historic property reach completion.

In just a few weeks, the Lister Building is getting ready to open after almost three years of restoration. Retail tenants, including Tourism Hamilton, will be the first to move in. In total, six retail tenants will be available for lease and the city says that it hopes to attract a wide range of tenants similar to the original tenants over 100 years ago.

APM Project Manager Rob Crittenden has been with this exciting project since it began. He says that this building will be a community hub when it opens. According to Mr. Crittenden, APM has restored a building that was once the centre of the downtown core.

“We’re thankful for the opportunity to restore this beautiful historic building,” said Mr. Crittenden. “APM is looking forward to watching tenants occupy the spaces as we’ve worked hard to create a top-of-the-line renovated building that’s still maintained all of its historic feel.

“APM enjoyed partnering with the City of Hamilton on this project. It was a smooth project that was on budget with great results and we hope to work with them again soon, on future projects.”
